On May 6th, Brett Henry and Charity Patterson tied the knot on a charming little farm in Brentwood, Tennessee. The forecast called for some rain, but God provided a truly unpredictable and beautiful day for us all.
Brett started out his day by worshiping with his brothers at Ethos while Charity and her bridesmaids spent the morning in fellowship. After lunch, the party made their way to Wolf’s Den Farm where a lovely outdoor ceremony site had been prepared. Rain began to sprinkle sporadically, but we all decided to take a chance and keep the ceremony outdoors.
The ceremony began with praise and worship before heavy wind and rains moved in. We actually had to take a timeout and move indoors so Brett and Charity could exchange vows, which were held on their iPhones (definitely a first)! Huddled together in a little tinroof barn, we all listened to the heavy rain fall as Brett & Charity committed their lives to the Lord and one another. It was truly beautiful. After the storm, the newlyweds were gifted with a magnificent sunset and streaks of lightning that danced across the sky. For some couples the tempest would have been a spoiler, but for this wedding party it only made the day that much better. I’m so thankful I got to spend this special day with Brett, Charity, and their friends.
